Fun in the Sun

I am happy to report that Steve is home from JRTC (deployment training) and we just returned from a week of fun and relaxation in Hilton Head Island. Steve returned last Saturday and we left the very next day to meet my mom, dad, grandparents, and brother in HHI. My parents were generous to rent us a house with a pool for the week, and it could not have been more relaxing!

Steve got 3 rounds of golf in, including his first ever hole in one at Port Royal Golf Course on Friday!

We spent most of the days lounging by the pool and laying out at the beach.

My grandmother took care of the food for the week, which was wonderful to have home cooked meals most nights! We did go out for seafood a couple nights, in which I ordered hamburgers and chicken fingers, since my pregnant tummy hasn't been able to stomach any seafood.

We did run into a minor bump in the road on Wednesday, when Steve and I were rear-ended pretty hard while sitting in traffic. Steve was completely fine, but I hit my head on the seat from whiplash. Due to me being pregnant, the 911 responder sent the EMTs and in return I got to enjoy an ambulance ride to the hospital. Yes, I got to be on a stretcher and all. The Doctor cleared me pretty quickly with a neck strain, but then sent me up to Labor and Delivery to monitor my sweet little girl for an hour. All was fine with baby and mommy, and I got to hear her sweet heart beat for an hour:-)

Luckily, on Thursday we had already booked massages at a nearby spa, and all my neck pain was relieved.

A short hour drive later, and we were back home on Saturday morning. My boys were exhausted and both took a nap while I got the house back in order.

We have been settling back into the house for the past day and getting ready for my last week of work! That's right, I have one more week of work, and then I will become a full time stay at home mommy. Okay, so the little one isn't hear yet, but I'm still a mommy to Tank, and he is pretty excited about having me to himself until she gets here. I have a lot to do to get ready for her, so it's a good thing I'm catching the nesting bug!

Well, I'm off to enjoy the evening with my husband before our busy week of work!

Until next time,

Kacie
