Miss Sadie turned 8 months old today. She has been in our lives for 8 long and short months. Long because her daddy has been gone for 7 of those very long months. Short because I am now the proud parent of an 8 month old! It feels like I was in labor and delivery just yesterday.
She is so smart. She is now crawling anywhere and everywhere she can. She has also started to pull up. She has trouble staying up for too long and doesn't quite know how to sit back down yet, but she sure is proud of herself when she stands!
She weighs 18 lbs(by our home scales). She is still in 9 month clothes, but is starting to wear some 12 month outfits. She is a growing girl! She loves to be outside, especially in her swing, and is doing better in her stroller on walks. She is saying "Mama" and babbling a lot of "ahhs" "ba's" "Blah's" and some "da's." She smiles at anyone who smiles at her, but wants Mommy to hold her until she is comfortable. If we are in a restaurant and someone walks by but does not talk to her, she will stare them down until they smile or speak to her.
She is eating 3 meals a day of pureed food and is starting to eat the "puff's" and dissolvable crackers. She is mostly taking 2 naps a day and is successfully sleeping from around 8pm - around 7am every night:-) Mommy is happy!
As she gets older, it gets harder to take these photos and I wanted to share a few bloopers. Some are just too cute, while others may be used as blackmail when she is older!
