Weekend Recap: Jamestown and a Picnic

We've had a roller coaster of weather in Virginia, but have been lucky enough to have most of the nice weather on the weekends. Knock on wood. We have been trying to take full advantage of not only the weather but the beautiful area we live in currently.

Saturday, we loaded up the car and drove about an hour to Williamsburg. We had a little shopping spree at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets. I plan on showing you a couple outfits I purchased soon! We checked out the Colonial Williamsburg area but decided we wanted a full day to explore there.

Coloring like a big girl.

So we headed on down to Jamestown and toured the area. I only took one lousy photo, but we had a great time exploring the set up indian reservations, colonial english towns, and ships. The museum had some great information and even little Sadie had fun running around looking at it all.

Sunday, the weather was even more beautiful. So after a "quick" Target run all by myself (GLORIOUS!), our little family of four went to the Petersburg Battlefield. We had fun walking a few trails, spotted some horseback riders, and enjoyed a picnic in the middle of the battlefield. Tank was completely worn out from all the walking and Sadie had a blast running along the trails. This is already one of our favorite spots here and I'm sure there will be plenty more visits.

Our one attempt at a family photo.
