I decided to give it another shot. I am by no means an extreme couponer. I do not have the room for a stockpile, let alone need that much stuff; however, I do like to use coupons on the things I am already going to buy. Two of the main things are baby food and diapers.
I have started using Monday's as my meal planning/couponing day. Then I go grocery shopping either that afternoon or Tuesday. Sadie and I started early this morning.
First we went to BabiesRus. I had a few coupons and rewards $, so we stopped by to pick up a few things. Here are the coupons I had:
- Free one Food Pouch with any "R" us purchase.
- 20% off ALL plum organic snacks (cannot be used for pouches).
- 20% off ANY one baby item
- $5 "R" Us Reward
Here's what I got:
- The baby pouch was free.
- The placemat was $10.99 with 20% off = $8.04
- The Plum snacks were each 20% off.
- Then I had the $5 rewards
Making my total: $12.68. I saved $10.52. Almost 50%. I consider that a win for me:-)
Next we made a stop a Target.
Here are the coupons I had:
Diapers:
- $1.50 off 1 Pampers Baby Dry Diapers ( I had two of these)
- $1 off Target Coupon with the purchase of two Pampers Diapers
Because the first coupons were Manufacturer coupons and the second was a Target coupon, I was able to use all three. Pampers Diapers were also on sale for $24.99/box. Get two boxes and receive a $10 Target gift card. So I got the diapers for $35.98. Thats $0.16/diaper. Win for me:-)
Baby Food: - Side note. Some of you may wonder why I still feed this to Sadie. This is the easiest way to get Veggies in her, and she loves them! I am considering making me own, but for now, these are easy and convenient. Match them with a Sale and they are great!
- Buy 3, get 1 Free Earth's Best organic Baby Food Pouches.
- $1 Off with purchase of three organic food pouches (Happy Tot)
- Buy 4, get 1 Free Gerber organic food pouches (Manufacturer Coupon) paired with $2 off Gerber Organics baby food of $10 or more(Target Coupon).
- Plus all organic food pouches were also 10% off.
I also grabbed up three birthday cards, Wet dog food at 4 for $5, and I couldn't resist two disney board books for Sadie in the $1 spot.
I had a $5.00 giftcard from a previous purchase, $.80 giftcard left over from a return, and a $25 giftcard Sadie was given for her Birthday.
My total, with my amazing 5% off with my Target Red Card was... $53.50. I consider that a double win:-)
Steve would be so proud!
