14 Months

Confession: I didn't even realize Sadie was 14 Months today until another Momma asked me how old she was at the Park. I asked her the date and when she said the 21st, I responded (with much surprise to myself) "14 Months today!"

Sadie is most definitely not a baby anymore. She is full fledged toddler. Her bald head is the only thing that makes her still look like a baby.

She now knows how to feed herself with a spoon and prefers to do it herself. She gets most of in her mouth. She also wanted to brush her own teeth last night. She is becoming so independent.

She LOVES being outside. She gets quite upset when we bring her inside. She is also becoming braver on the playground.

She is walking all the time and wants you to put her down so that she can walk. She doesn't quite understand staying near Mommy or not touching things though, so we can't do that all to often.

She has learned new words such as "Duh" for Duck and "Bir" for Bird." She also makes sounds such as "quack, quack" and "choo choo"(with an adorable hand motion, I might add). She surprises me all the time with words she can say, although "Dada" is still her favorite. I only get a "Mama" on special occasions or when she is upset. If I start singing "La La La," she will sing right back.

She is giving kisses more often, which I love! She is learning how to blow a kiss as well.

We had a little 14 Month Mini Shoot in our back yard today to mark the occasion:-) She won't stay still long enough to catch a smile for my iPhone, but I sure do love how these capture how active she is! 

I am just so amazed with all the things she has learned and how fast she is growing up!
