Quick Getaway

Steve had a four day weekend this last week for Columbus Day. We decided to take advantage and took a trip up to Fayetteville, NC to visit with his parents. We also saw some Fort Stewart friends that moved away. Um, did we even take a picture together? This makes me sad:-(

Saturday, we left Sadie with her grandparents and took a quick getaway to Richmond, VA. We were able to scout out Fort Lee and decide where we want to live. We are hoping to get on base housing for the 6 short months we will be there. They have new housing and the neighborhoods are kept nice and clean with playgrounds on every corner. Plus, a four minute drive to work for Steve can't be argued.

We stayed in Richmond for the night and enjoyed walking around the streets and canals. We even got to check out their Folk Festival that happened to be going on. We enjoyed the evening to ourselves.
