It’s no secret that we started the 3 Day Refresh yesterday. I posted about it on here for accountability.
Not only that… I always post about my FULL health and fitness journey to be open and honest about ALL of it.
The Good, the Bad, AND the UGLY…
Well.. I can officially say that I am NOT a cleanse person.
I’ve never done one before. I’ve never even really WANTED to do one before. But I decided to give it a shot since it was only 3 days.
It’s 3 Days of No meat, No dairy, and you drink mostly shakes with a few veggies, fruits, and healthy fats sprinkled in.
The mornings weren’t bad. I looked forward to my Shakeology with 2 servings of fruit.
But the Fiber Sweeps I could do without. In fact, I have an AWFUL gag reflex along with being a picky eater… I could barely choke them down. The taste really wasn’t that bad… but the texture was <yuck>.
The other two meals are a mixture of fruit and/or veggies/healthy fats along with the Vanilla Refresh. The vanilla Shakeology is my least favorite flavor. Just my personal preference. The Vanilla Refresh tastes very similar, but I could only mix it with water and ice. Let’s just say it was less than exciting.
Beyond the pickiness of my palate. I was VERY tired. I felt like I had no energy and with no coffee I had a small headache both days.
Basically, it just wasn’t for me. I got through 1.75 of the 3 days… but finished out the night with a nice rotisserie chicken breast(no skin) on spring lettuce and I’m sipping on a wonderful hot cup of coffee.
I haven’t deviated that far from the plan and I’m excited to see how much weight I’ve lost in the two days in the morning..
So why am I telling you this? Well, I could have lied and just pretended like I finished and completed this AMAZING program in hopes that you would try it too… BUT that is NOT what I am about. I am about honesty and sharing my journey. I share what works for me… because of that reason.. it WORKED for me. This one didn’t. That’s not saying it won’t work for you. You may love cleanses or not be as picky of an eater as me…
But I am always truthful and honest with my friends, Facebook peers, and challengers. I would never lead you to believe something that wasn’t true.
I’ve grown my business from sharing the REAL part of my health and fitness journey. Not faking results or pretending that I know it all. {I surely don’t}
What I can say is that even though I failed at this challenge… I am still proud of myself for trying. I am failing FOWARD… learning and growing from this opportunity.
In the meantime, I’ll be switching over to my tried and true 21 Day Fix Meal Plan that I KNOW gives me results… that I can still eat eggs, chicken, and even an occasional glass of wine and STILL get results.
