Babymoon

Steve and I were blessed recently to travel to the Dominican Republic on a second honeymoon. We called this our Babymoon (and deployment-moon). My parents were kind enough to watch Sadie while we jetted off for a week to ourselves.

We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana. This was an adults only all inclusive resort and I would recommend it to anyone. You get what you pay for in the five star resort.

We had such a wonderful week full of relaxation and entertainment (and a drink or two). We met friends while we were there and enjoyed some time to ourselves. We were able to sleep in, take naps, and eat anything our hearts desired. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back! It was a wonderful week to reconnect.

I sure did miss Sadie though. I actually didn't realize how much I would miss her until the time actually came. She did great with Gigi and Pops, but we were so happy to get back home to her.
