[five] on friday: VA edition

Hi folks! I am writing fast this morning because I have a lot to do! If you have been following, my husband surprised me with a trip to Alexandria, VA and the wine country this weekend. We leave at lunch time today and my in-laws came in town last night to keep Sadie for the weekend. I am so excited and have not even packed yet! This post will be about [five] places I'm hoping to visit this weekend.

So lets get to it!

[one] Westin, Alexandria, VA. We are staying at the Westin in Old Town Alexandria. It is a beautiful hotel and we will be able to walk to restaurants and shops in the evening.

[two] PX. No I'm not talking about shopping on base. There's a speakeasy in Old Town Alexandria called the PX. I dying to check it out. The blue light signals they are open.

[three] City Hall. Saturday mornings are supposed to be filled with good food, music, and people. What more could you want? They also have a Farmers Market. We may have to take a cooler to stock up.

[four] Wineries. We are planing on hitting up 3-4 wineries on Saturday. We just haven't decided which ones yet. Any of those that have been, please leave a comment with your favorite.

[five] This guy. Seriously. I am just so excited to have a weekend with this guy. We rarely get time just the two of us and I will soak in every minute of it. Life is short and we know better than anyway how valuable our time is together. (This was from our trip to Napa Valley last summer.)
