Tokyo

Um, it's been a few weeks now since we've been to Tokyo. I should probably post pictures right?!

Ha, I've seriously procrastinated on this, but here they are! Along with a few tips we learned about traveling to Tokyo.

{1} PLAN AHEAD. Seriously. We didn't. We booked our flights, our hotel, and the train to get us to the hotel, but that was it. We only had three full days in Tokyo and we knew somewhat what we wanted to do, but we wanted the trip to be stress free. So we didn't actually schedule anything. We knew we wanted to go to DisneySea on Monday since that would be the least crowded day, but that left us two days (Saturday and Sunday) to explore Tokyo.

Here's where we made our mistake. We did a lot of Saturday and had a blast. Sunday, we headed out to the fish market. Closed. Then we took the subway to the Sumo Hall. Closed. At this point (after getting a lost), we were exhausted and just decided to head over to our Disney hotel for the rest of the afternoon.

{2} Buy a subway pass. It's super easy, and we did this, but we didn't buy the FULL one to give us access to ALL of the subway. Unless you KNOW which subway you will be riding that day, go ahead and buy the FULL pass so that you won't be stuck paying for extra rides.

{3} Get wifi for your phone. We were completely lost and kept reading the maps backwards. If we had wifi on our phone, it would have made finding places a lot easier. There's a inexpensive package to buy wifi in Tokyo that gives you access to over 200,000 places that your phone will connect to their wifi automatically around the city. This would have eased a LOT of frustration.

{4} Go to Disney! We had an amazing time. DisneySea was so wonderful and the crowds were low. I read a lot about it being more for the adult crowd and not little kids, but I disagree. There were only 4-5 rides that Sadie couldn't do and she was just memorized by Mermaid Lagoon. She still talks about meeting Ariel.

{5} We decided that as we are expanding our family, we can no longer take trips to "explore a city." The stairs and subways and food situation is just stressful with a toddler. We will save those for our getaways. Until our kids are a little older, we will stick to Beach and Disney type trips. They are so much more relaxing. Sadie has more fun and in turn, we have more fun.

Oh Hey Friday Five!

Lookie there! It's Friday AGAIN!

I haven't posted much "baby" stuff lately, so I thought I'd bring you a baby post.

I am officially 22+ weeks. Which means this little man will be here in {around} 18 weeks! I've still got quite a ways to go, but these 22 weeks passed by SO quickly, that I know with Sadie starting school and the Holidays, these 18 will go by even faster.

So we are officially planning out the "nursery."

If you've been following me for a while, you know that we live in South Korea. We currently live on post in a 3 bedroom apartment. We will be here until August 2016, which means that little man will only live in this house for about 8 months. That on top of the fact that we can't paint, means it will be a pretty minimalist room. He will be in the rock n play in our room for the first couple of months anyway. And of course, we have family coming to visit to meet the little fellow so we still need a guest room.

Enter our nursery/guest room combo. And here I bring you our top five inspirations for designing the room.

iKEA day bed. I've had my eye on this one for a while. We have an ikea in Korea and we will be grabbing up this baby pretty soon! I love the extra storage it will give us AND it expands out for when we have multiple visitors. When we move back to the States, this will become Sadie's new bed.

Navy & White. Since we found out we are having a little boy, I've pretty much fallen in love with the Navy & White Color combo. I don't want it to be Nautical, but it'll mostly be geometric shapes of Navy & White, with maybe a few pops of red considering RED will be his initials.

World Map. I found this on Pinterest and pretty much fell in love with it. We will definitely be putting up something similar. What better room theme than when living overseas?!

Crib & Changing Table. We will be using Sadie's old crib now that she is in a big girl bed. Works perfectly with the white bed. I also plan on ordering a coordinating white changing table. Since there will be the bed with drawers in the room, I won't be doing a dresser, and instead utilizing his big closet space more. There's also a White Chair we've placed in the room. We decided to put the rocker in our bedroom for now since that is where we would probably rock him more. Then they will get switched back out when the time comes. This one is similar.

Speaking of the closet. As a bonus, I found this great inspiration for his closet. An easy way to stay organized and take advantage of the space in a rental!

Well there you have it! All the ideas spinning around in my head, now I just need to execute them! Hopefully I will have the "after" pictures to show before he gets here! Wish me luck!

Sadie,

You have blessed us with an immeasurable amount of love and happiness. You bring so much joy to this family. You are SO smart, caring, and passionate already. You know exactly what you want and aren't afraid to go after it. You are so head strong, but hate to see anyone upset. I am so proud to be your mommy and I look forward to watching you grow and develop into a young lady. I hope you always choose to dance in the rain, to laugh on the sad days, and to smile at anyone who looks your way. Your happiness is contagious. I love
You to the moon and back always.
Love, Mommy

Oh Hey Friday!

Happy Friday Ya'll!

This is my last Friday in Georgia and I am soaking up all the last minute family time, shopping, and food that I can get. In the meantime, I thought I'd bring you FIVE of my most favorite products right now. Maybe you'll love them as much as me!

P.S. - None of these are affiliate links :-)

Bamboo Cleanse Extend Dry Shampoo

Seriously?! Why did I not try this sooner. My #1 reason for not working out USED to be that I didn't have time to wash my hair. When I cut my hair shorter, this was even worse because I could't just throw it up. I've gotten past that reason, BUT dry Shampoo has made it even easier. I've used cheap brands before, but they always make my hair oily. This stuff works MIRACLES! It's a big bonus that it smells so good!

Bamboo Volumizing Whipped Mousse

I loved the first product so much that I went back and bought their volumizing mousse. It smells equally as good and gives my hair a little extra volume on days I DO wash it.

Zoe Organics

I've already mentioned their Everything Balm. It's a serious game changer. But being pregnant, I also LOVE their Belly Oil. I've been putting it on my belly after showers and it always feels so good. I don't have a large bump yet, but let's hope that it prevents any future stretch marks!

Naked foundation

I also mentioned that I got the NAKED3 eye palate and the NAKED Flushed palate for countering. I still LOVE these, but I didn't mention that I also LOVE Urban Decay's NAKED foundation. I tried switching recently to a few different products, but nothing compares to the coverage this one gives me without feeling like my face is chalked full of product.

Venus Razor

Um, I may be late to the game on this one. I have always used venus razors, but only recently used the ones with the soap attached. Seriously?! It actually works and my legs are smooth! It's a huge help too when you are traveling! Now if only I could find a case to put in it went traveling so it doesn't make other things soapy.

On a side note, I have a lot of exciting things coming in August, including my first first 5 Day Eat Clean Challenge. It's completely free, no strings attached. If you are interested in just FIVE days of eating the RIGHT kinds of fuel to feed your body, then send me a message on Facebook! Don't be shy to Friend Request me too! I love talking to new people!
