Chicago!

We are traveling to Chicago this weekend!

Steve is attended a conference and I'm tagging along.

We are looking forward to a weekend away, even if it is for work and not play... but I'm missing my kiddos already!

We are going to be exploring on our last night! What do you recommend?!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Recently, my husband and I had the opportunity to take a one day trip down to Savannah. We lived in  Savannah about three years ago. Steve had a work opportunity to attend and I tagged along for the ride while the kids stayed with my parents.

On our trip down, we decided to pay a visit to our old college stomping grounds.

We were so excited to see the things that have changed... and to visit our favorite little Mexican restaurant that hadn't changed a bit.

It was a quick trip, but totally worth it.

We finished up the trip and headed down to our  little B&B in Savannah, The Hamilton-Turner Inn.

This place was adorable. Charming, welcoming, and quaint. Service was wonderful and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to escape into the charming feel of Savannah.

We enjoyed our night and found a cute new wine bar right around the corner.

In the morning, we were able to walk by the square where we said "I do" only six years ago. They were re-landscaping the square, but it was so fun to reminisce.

I love Savannah and have always imagined also being back there in the future. Maybe one day down the road. Until then, I will enjoy our quick trips to enjoy the beautiful city.

Have you been to Savannah? What's your favorite thing to do?

Tokyo

Um, it's been a few weeks now since we've been to Tokyo. I should probably post pictures right?!

Ha, I've seriously procrastinated on this, but here they are! Along with a few tips we learned about traveling to Tokyo.

{1} PLAN AHEAD. Seriously. We didn't. We booked our flights, our hotel, and the train to get us to the hotel, but that was it. We only had three full days in Tokyo and we knew somewhat what we wanted to do, but we wanted the trip to be stress free. So we didn't actually schedule anything. We knew we wanted to go to DisneySea on Monday since that would be the least crowded day, but that left us two days (Saturday and Sunday) to explore Tokyo.

Here's where we made our mistake. We did a lot of Saturday and had a blast. Sunday, we headed out to the fish market. Closed. Then we took the subway to the Sumo Hall. Closed. At this point (after getting a lost), we were exhausted and just decided to head over to our Disney hotel for the rest of the afternoon.

{2} Buy a subway pass. It's super easy, and we did this, but we didn't buy the FULL one to give us access to ALL of the subway. Unless you KNOW which subway you will be riding that day, go ahead and buy the FULL pass so that you won't be stuck paying for extra rides.

{3} Get wifi for your phone. We were completely lost and kept reading the maps backwards. If we had wifi on our phone, it would have made finding places a lot easier. There's a inexpensive package to buy wifi in Tokyo that gives you access to over 200,000 places that your phone will connect to their wifi automatically around the city. This would have eased a LOT of frustration.

{4} Go to Disney! We had an amazing time. DisneySea was so wonderful and the crowds were low. I read a lot about it being more for the adult crowd and not little kids, but I disagree. There were only 4-5 rides that Sadie couldn't do and she was just memorized by Mermaid Lagoon. She still talks about meeting Ariel.

{5} We decided that as we are expanding our family, we can no longer take trips to "explore a city." The stairs and subways and food situation is just stressful with a toddler. We will save those for our getaways. Until our kids are a little older, we will stick to Beach and Disney type trips. They are so much more relaxing. Sadie has more fun and in turn, we have more fun.

Oh Hey Friday Five!

Happy Friday! It's going to be a GREAT day. It's raining here, but I'm not going to let that damper my mood! Let's link up!

[one]

I'm still in my first trimester, but nearing the tail end of it! I already feel SO much better.  If you missed that announcement.... SURPRISE! I'm PREGNANT! You can read all about how I'm feeling here.

[two]

We are finally getting settled into our new place. The only room yet to be put together will be the future nursery/guest room. We are waiting until I get back from my trip to the States to worry about it. I am loving the way my home office area is coming together though!

[three]

Did I mention I'm going to the States?? Sadie and I leave in less than two weeks! We will be flying to Atlanta, GA and staying with my parents for an entire four weeks. I am SO excited. The packing/list making has begun. And this pregnant girl can't WAIT to get me some food! Mexican, Olive Garden, Chick-fil-a, Zaxbys Zalad. I've got priorities.

[four]

So I totally want a Pregnant workout tank, but I can't decide!! Which one do you like better?

[five]

Now that I'm getting my energy back, I've gotten back into my fitness routine. It looks a little different now, but it's working for me while pregnant. I am excited to start a new 21 Day Fix Challenge on June 13 with an amazing fellow Coach. I never shared my results publicly, because they weren't as great as I wanted them to be. Little did I know in my after picture, I was pregnant! I was looking at them the other day and realized I should be SO proud of them. I worked my butt off to stay healthy and fit. So I decided to share them with you now! If you're interested in joining, email me!

Friday Five: Ready for Guam!

Happy Friday Ya'll!!

---->one<---

It was ABSOLUTELY Beautiful today, so Sadie and I enjoyed some fun the in Sun this morning. I just love moments like these. We've had a rough time lately with her not listening and being quite a stubborn little 2-year-old. I get frustrated and it puts me in a bad mood. But then I try to remember moments like these that I want to hold on to forever.

---->two<---

We leave in 3 Days for Guam! Bags and almost fully packed and I am SO beyond ready to go! To get ready for it, of course I had to get a manicure/pedicure! It was a fun new experience at a Korean salon. The guy pretty much had to sand down my hard winter feet and dust himself off afterwards<akward> but he told me I had a pretty face. The lady doing my nails got my request perfectly and told me I had baby hands.

Beach Ready

We leave for Guam in 11 days and I am SO excited. I need some sun and waves in my life. So I decided to make one last online order in hopes that it will be here in time for the trip. I couldn't pass up the sale that Old Navy is having and they usually ship here pretty quickly.

Sadie and I will definitely be hitting up the beach in matching coverups... What do you think?

Over the next few days, I will be putting together our packing list to make sure we bring everything with us. We are hoping to pack light knowing we will be in bathing suits all day and sun dresses in the evening. What do you recommend we bring?

Oh, Hey Friday Five!

Hey Ya'll! It's Friday already. And April. The time is just tumbling by before my eyes. So let's hop to this Friday Five. It is Easter weekend after all!!

[one] Happy Easter Weekend!

This little one has already been egg hunting. She has another one tomorrow. Now I just need to get ALL that candy OUT of my house! Easter isn't a big celebration in Korea. While you would be surprised to know there are a lot of Christians here, I don't think they take up the Americanized version of Easter. They truly celebrate the reason Jesus died on a Cross for us. That is something amazing.

[two] I made a little announcement on my blog post the other day that we are going to Guam in under 3 weeks!! I am SO excited. We have never taken a trip like this with just the three of us. I can't wait to see the joy and excitement through Sadie's eyes. And for the FIRST time in my life, I can say I'll be confident putting a Bikini on!

[three] Confident you say? WHAT?! Yes. I'm not perfect, but I have made PROGRESS and I am SO proud of that! Here is my most recent before/after, but if you want to see my 60 PiYo Challenge Before/After check out this post.

[four] The timing to Guam lines up perfectly with the 21 Day Fix I am doing. My husband and I started on Monday with a small group of people. Portion control meals and daily 30 minute workouts are currently my Jam and I'm LOVING it. I can't wait to see where it takes me! If you're interested in joining, message me!

[five] Rounding it back up with an Easter Post. Here's a little sneak peak at something in Sadie's Easter basket this weekend. She's obsessed with dress up clothes and with an upcoming beach trip and summer around the corner, I thought this would be perfect.

Have a wonderful Good Friday!
