Happy Friday!

I can't believe it's Friday already! But I sure am happy that it is! Steve comes home from being in the field today! We've missed him and it will be so nice to have him back!

On another note, if you missed my last post, announced that I will be starting a Facebook group called Organize Your Health. It's 15 days of tips and challenges to get your health and fitness organized! My two favorite things combined in one! Message me on Facebook to join!

Finally, lets get to that Friday Five. I previously lived in Savannah, where I gained my love for St. Patricks Day. So here are five Pinterest inspirations for St. Patty's!

[ one ]

One of the easiest ways to decorate for each holiday and season is through a printable. There are so many offered online and all you have to do is get one frame, print, and switch it out as the Holiday approaches. Easy peasy. This one is a favorite for St. Patty's.

[ two ]

Kids love giving and received little gifts. How cute is this little treat to send to school with your little one on St. Patty's?

[ three ]

I could totally see me painting my nails this color for the day. The gold definitely makes it not look so tacky!

[ four ]

This would totally make my day if I bit into a cupcake and found this surprise instead. I think Sadie would go crazy!

[ five ]

Finally, you can't go through the day without wearing green. This might have to make its way into my closet by next year. I love that its subtle. People might try and pinch you then BAM, you are wearing green!

Don't forget to message me to join my Organize your Health Challenge Group on Facebook!

Organize Your Health Challenge

I love organizing. It's in my blood. I pretty much have anxiety if something in my house isn't organized. Who's with me on this? Okay, maybe not everyone, but I'm pretty sure we can all agree that having things organized makes life a lot easier.

If you've been following along, then you know that another passion of mine I recently found is health and fitness. Why wouldn't I want this part of my life organized? It just makes sense.

I think a lot of people have trouble with this part when it comes to fitness. If you can stay organized with your fitness, you are much more likely to stick with it in the long run!

So I decided to create a Facebook challenge group that combines these two! The challenge will start on Monday, March 16 and go for 15 Days. Join me in getting your fitness and health organized! It will be a perfect start to Spring and set you up for success for the month of April. If you are interested, send me a message on Facebook. It's an absolutely free group and there's even a little prize at the end for the person with the most participation!

I hope you'll join me!

Get Fit

Did you see that little sneak peak I gave you in my last fitness post? There was a notebook sitting on the treadmill. Yes, that's it. The OCD person within me created a fitness notebook. A lot of people write down their workouts at the gym, well I just do it with some crazy organized style:-)

I found these colorfully organized printables from Clean Life and Home. I was able to download and print them instantly.
I also picked up an A5 Arc Notebook. I actually got the Martha Stewart version at Staples.

Note: If you notice, I didn't want to pay $40 for the specific type of hole punch until I knew this was going to work for me. So for the time being, I glued the pages onto the pre-punch pages. I'm now waiting for a good sale/coupon deal to buy the hole punch. The one reason why I got this notebook, is because I like that it can bend all the way around and lay flat, unlike a filofax or 3 ring binder.

So here's a peak inside my "Get Fit" journal.

Can't head to the gym without my journal, water, and Pandora.

The opening page with my personal trainers card.

A little bit of inspiration.

Sorry for the white out... I just might be comfortable enough to share my before and after... one day!
A page to record my measurements and weight loss progress.

Each month has a homemade divider (part of the download) and set of goals.

Monthly calendar. I love planning out my workouts for the week so that each part of my body is getting equal attention.

Even though this section is titled "meal plan," I actually use to write down what I eat. I meal plan on our kitchen calendar. I like that I don't have to count calories, but I still can hold myself accountable to what I eat.

Each workout is logged on its own page. I love that I am able to keep track of the workouts my trainer has me do, so that I can do them in the future on my own.

The final tab is titled "notes" but I use it for misc. I place different workouts in here, as well as tips from my personal trainer.

So there you have it.  What do you think?

Do you track your fitness habits? How do you write it all down?

National Organizing Month: Pantry

If you haven't heard yet... then get excited, because this month(October) is National Organizing Month! Were you as excited about that as I was?
So to start off the month this past weekend, I got my hands dirty fast. As my husband and I were cleaning up around the house on Sunday, I got to thinking... my kitchen was clean, but when you opened up the panty...

eww wait no! Close it fast! Yupp, that was my reaction! It case you need a closer look at the once organized pantry turned chaos:

So out went everything... and I mean EVERYTHING. But of course, I got completely absorbed into organizing that I forgot to take a picture of the entire pantry contents on my kitchen counter... or the bare white pantry.

Yes, you heard me right, I added that little word "white" in there. Why? Because it is white no longer! Since the pantry was completely bare, I thought this is a better time then ever to paint it! My husband thought I was crazy and wanted nothing to do without(although he did help with the out of reach spots for my short self). So I got all of the painting essentials out of the our garage, and used the same blue paint (which I still LOVE) that we painted our kitchen.

What a nice pop of color! It just brightens my day:-)

Then back in went the shelves, and after sorting and purging a few things, so did the food!

And a closer look:

Containers got new matching labels with Breakfast foods on the first shelf (minus the rice).

Bread and Grains on the second.

Snack foods on the third.

And extras on the two bottom shelves. If you notice, I keep our daily vitamins in our pantry, along with some Tylenol, because it's easy to grab in the morning while eating breakfast. Yes, I know I am lucky to have it on the bottom shelf while I can since we don't have kids yet.

Also, If you noticed, I made sure nothing was on the floor this time, and what a difference that makes in looking so much cleaner!

Finally, canned foods and packages on the door.

I must admit, it looks way better in person than the picture does justice for, but the best part about it, is that every time I open my pantry now... I smile:-)

Round two of organizing for National Organizing Month this weekend! I can't wait!

until next time,

Kacie
