Bumpdate: 18 Weeks

Wow, it's been a while since I've done a bumpdate! And can I say, I feel like I've grown a good bit! I'm going to arrive back to Korea and Steve is going to be SO surprised by the little bump on my belly that's developed!

So here I am with an 18 Week Bumpdate!

How far along: 18 weeks

Due Date: January 1st, 2016

Baby is the size of: Sweet Potato

Symptoms: Hungry ALL of the time. No specific cravings. I'll just get something in my mind and won't stop thinking about it, until l I get it. Then it's over. I feel cramps and tinges if it's been a long day and I've been on the go.

Gender: Boy!!

Name: Ryder Earon de Leon (RED)

Movement: He is kicking early! He is still sitting pretty low, but I can feel kicks on the inside and a few on the outside. He usually stops anytime I try to put my hand on my belly though. I feel him most when I am resting before bed at night.

Nursery: It's still a BIG mess. We have a ton of little girl stuff to sell in an upcoming yard sell, but I've bought a TON of things to bring back and get started when I return to Korea! Upcoming post on my nursery inspiration.

Maternity Clothes: Oh yes! I've visited Motherhood Maternity/Target and stocked up. I can still fit in some dresses and one pair of non-maternity shorts, but I'm so much more comfortable in my maternity clothes now.

Sleep: I'm sleeping good when Sadie does. She's had trouble sleeping while traveling, so I've been up with her. But otherwise I get up to pee one time a night.

Best Moment This Week: Feeling little kicks is so wonderful right now.

Missing Anything: I thought I would miss wine more. But I had a couple sips of my mom's the other night and it was enough to satisfy my taste for it. Mostly, Sadie and I just miss Steve right now and we can't wait to see him next week!

Cravings/Aversions: No Aversions. Food is my friend.

Health/Exercise: I'm working hard to stay on track with healthy eating 80% of the time. I've also been working out 3-4 times a week. I try to get in an upper body workout, lower body workout, yoga, and walking.

Mood: Hormones are still going a little crazy at times. I feel like I'm happy most of the time, but I have my moments and will break down crying at silly things.

Husband: He has been great! He is always supportive. I miss him SO much!

Looking Forward To: Seeing Steve next week; However, I am NOT looking forward to our flight back.

Bumpdate: 13 Weeks

One week left to the first trimester. I just have to make it ONE more week!

I actually already feel like I am in my second trimester. My energy is back. The queasiness is GONE. And I'm hungry ALL of the time.

We had our first doctor's appointment on Tuesday at the hospital I will be delivering Baby Dos. The staff and doctor were all very nice. I was a little worried about the language barrier, but most of the staff spoke decent English. I am in the process of considering a Doula to take the stress off communicating with the staff away from me during labor.

We were able to see Baby Dos and he/she was moving ALL around. Sadie loved getting new pictures of her baby sibling and is convinced she is going to have a baby brother. We will find out soon if her intuition is right!

Other times, Sadie says she's going to have a baby brother and baby sister. I promise, there is only ONE baby in there.

I go back in one week for a following up appointment with my blood work I had taken. Because I am hypothyroid, my doctor wants me to see the endocrinologist on site.

In Korea, you actually get an ultrasound at every visit, so I'll be getting more pictures next week with a small chance of finding on Baby Dos' gender! Fingers crossed!

Has anyone else hired a Doula? I'd love to chat with you more about your experience! I can take any advice I'll get!

Bumpdate: 12 Weeks

Wow, I cannot believe we are already halfway through June. I know time before this baby arrives is going to fly by between summer travels, fall, and holidays. Until then, I'll just try to enjoy each week as it comes, pregnancy symptoms and all!

So here I am with my [first] 12 week bump date. There's a little format flying around blog land, so I figured I'd stick pretty close to that... because, well, it's easy :-) The left picture below is just a few days after we found out I was pregnant. The one on the right was this morning after my workout. Crazy how quickly a body can change!

How far along: 12 weeks

Due Date: January 1st, 2016

Baby is the size of: Lime

Symptoms: The queasiness has subsided. I'm hungry ALL of the time, but I also get full quickly. I am starting to gain some of my energy back. I was taking naps almost daily, but now I'm down to only 1-2 week. I try to hold off on naps so that I can sleep better at night. Some lower back pain and still breaking out like crazy! What happened to that Glow?!

Gender: Unknown. I think Girl, Steve thinks Boy. We are hoping to find out at the end of this month!

Name: We have both names fully picked out. I'm surprised we decided this early!

Movement: There have been a few times I think I have felt flutters, but nothing that I am positive about.

Nursery: It's a BIG messes of everything we haven't unpacked yet. haha.

Maternity Clothes: I can still wear some of my clothes, but they are getting uncomfortable. I have a few maternity clothes from Sadie that I've worn. Otherwise I've mostly been wearing dresses. Maxi's are my favorite. I'm trying to hold off on shopping until we visit the States.

Sleep: Finally sleeping good. I get up once a night to pee. I LOVE my giant pregnancy pillow.

Best Moment This Week: It's still all about Sadie at this point.

Missing Anything: A Beer. Or a glass of wine would be nice. Especially now that we have a grill to cook out on the weekends.

Cravings/Aversions: No Aversions yet. Craving EVERYTHING. Seriously.

I feel like I'm happy most of the time, but I have my moments. Sorry honey!

Husband: Speak of the... He has been great! He is always supportive. He's only had to drive to get me something to eat that I'm craving a few times.

Looking Forward To: Our trip back to the States in 3 weeks!
